Blue is a very sweet, declawed, 13-year-old neutered male who came to Laps and Naps when his elderly owner had to move to an assisted living facility.
Through no fault of his own, Blue is now in his third foster home after an adoption fail. The person who adopted Blue became too incapicitated to provide for his needs. Blue needs twice daily medication for hyperthyroidism.
Blue is not a lap cat, but loves to be near his person and would do well in a home with a person who is home a good bit of the time. Blue gets along with other cats but is untested around dogs. He loves going outside in his harness!
If you are interested in adopting Blue, please send an email to email@example.com or call 828-447-1230.
Eddie is a 16-year-old female in need of a new home because of her owner's health issues and relocation.
Eddie is an affectionate cat who wants to chat with you every day and hang out next to you on the couch! She loves people, but does not like other animals, so she needs to be an only cat.
Eddie receives twice daily medication for hyperthyroidism.
If you are interested in adopting Eddie, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org or call 828-447-1230.
Maya is a young, sweet and gentle, 8-year-old female who needed to find a new home because her owner was moving to care for a sick family member and could not take her.
Maya has experience with dogs and we understand she is fearless! She has had several tooth extractions but does well on a wet food diet. Maya's foster dad says she is a real love and adjusted quickly to his home.
Maya isn't a lap cat but she will lie on the arm of the couch and watch TV with you. She is friendly, loves scratches, and comes when she is called!
If you are interested in adopting Maya, please send an email to email@example.com or call 828-447-1230.
Mr. Bucs (with a long "u") is an 18-year-old gentleman who is looking for a new home because his people will be traveling throughout Europe for the next few years and he would prefer to have a stable, calm, place to spend his senior years.
Naturally, he spends a lot of time sleeping. He has never lived with other animals but has a few dog friends. He is shy at first and will hide under the bed when new people come to the house, but he warms up once he gets to know them.
Mr. Bucs comes with a lot of supplies, including a Thundershirt that he wears when receiving his pedicures. He is not on any medications and his expenses are covered.
If you are interested in adopting Bucs, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org or call 828-447-1230.
Sassy is a super sweet girl, estimated to be about 13-years-old. She had been living outside for the past five years and she is very content to spend the rest of her years indoors. Sassy loves greeting visitors to the house and will go from person to person for her pets!
Sassy is healthy other than being overweight, and she absolutely loves the wet food diet she is on now. She has a bit of a limp which is probably due to arthritis and should get better once she loses some weight.
If you are interested in adopting Sassy, please send an email to email@example.com or call 828-447-1230.
Tiger is a very sweet 12-year-old neutered male who was surrendered to the Vance County Animal Shelter and was on death row until Laps and Naps was able to find a foster home for him.
We will have more information on Tiger as he adjusts to his foster home but, after a 5-hour, 300 mile ride, he was exploring his foster home, giving rubs and enjoying a good brushing! All signs point to Tiger being a sweet, adaptable boy. He did live with other cats, but we don't know if he has dog experience.
If you are interested in adopting Tiger, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org or call 828-447-1230.
Willow has a sad story to share. His beloved human companion had a fall on Christmas Day and was taken to the hospital. Willow waited and waited for him to come home but, tragically, he recently died. Willow was alone in the house since his person went away, with a family member coming in to care for him in the evening.
Willow is an 8- year-old neutered gray tabby, up-to-date on his vaccinations and had a recent senior blood panel. He is in his second foster home and has adjusted well. He came to Laps and Naps with digestive issues that close to being resolved and he is currently on a special diet. He would do best in a home where his person is home most of the day.
If you are interested in fostering or adopting Willow, please send an email to email@example.com or call 828-447-1230.
Mickey and Big Boy are sad because their beloved person is in Hospice care and they will need to find a new home. They really want to stay together!
Both Mickey and Big Boy are 12 years old, have had yearly annual exams, are neutered, and are up-to-date on their shots. The cats have spent the majority of their life together in the same household, are both rescue cats, are 100% indoor kitties, are very sweet and would be a joy to anyone who would like to foster or adopt them.
If you are able to foster, provide a sanctuary home, or adopt Mickey and Big Boy, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org or call 828-447-1230.
Bobsie, on the right, and Boca, on the left, are a package deal. Bobsie is 9-years-old, Boca is 16-years-old, and they are deeply bonded and must stay together. Both are neutered males, up-to-date on their vaccinations.
Bobsie, Boca, and Uno were surrendered to a shelter in Georgia when their beloved human companion died. Their human's daughter couldn't bear for them to remain in the shelter, so she pulled them and they are currently in Atlanta but must find a more stable forever home. Uno can be fostered or adopted separately, but Bobsie and Boca must stay together.
If you are able to foster, provide a sanctuary home, or adopt Bobsie and Boca, please send an email to email@example.com or call 828-447-1230.
Flapjack, age 8, and Pancake, age 9, are bonded sisters with the same mama, but from two different litters. They have outlived their mother and daughter human caregivers and were neglected by the remaining family members, finally being abandoned when the people moved out. They were totally outdoor cats, but have adjusted to indoor living in their foster home.
Both girls are shy at first but will warm up to a loving caregiver. They are FIV and FeLV negative and up to date on their vaccinations.
If you would like to adopt Flapjack and Pancake, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org or call 828-447-1230.
