Blue is a 13-year-old, gray and white, declawed male with plenty of personality! His foster provider reports that he is very sweet and adapted quickly to her home and routines.
He has been an only-child the last 4 years and it is unknown if he had pet-mates prior to being adopted. He is not a lap cat, but likes to be wherever you are, sleeps at the end of the bed, and sometimes will snuggle up behind you during the night.
Blue has been well loved since he was adopted from a shelter 4 years ago, but his current owner is going into assisted living and is no longer able to care for him.
If you are interested in adopting Blue, please send an email to info@lapsandnaps.org or call 828-447-1230.

Bobsie, Boca, and Uno were surrendered to a shelter in Georgia when their person died. His daughter spends part of her time in Asheville and is hoping to find them a home so she can get them out of the shelter.
If you are able to foster, provide a sanctuary home, or adopt Bobsie and Boca, please send an email to info@lapsandnaps.org or call 828-447-1230.
Charlie's life has been turned upside down and he is looking for a nice, stable home to live out the rest of his years. He is estimated to be about 15-years-old.
Charlie was adopted by his last person approximately two years ago and he is a very friendly lap cat once he gets to know you. He had a bout of diarrhea and severe dental issues and his owner was going to have him euthanized. Fortunately, Laps and Naps found a foster for Charlie in the nick of time! He is now on methimazole which he takes crushed in his food, and he had dental surgery, including nine extractions. He is feeling much better now and would love to be your lap cat!
If you are interested in fostering or adopting Charlie, please send an email to info@lapsandnaps.org or call 828-447-1230.
Cocoa is a gorgeous 10-year-old female in need of a new home. She showed up as a stray five years ago, "skin and bones and a matted mess". She is microchipped, but her original owners could not be located.
Cocoa is a "sweet and easy" lap cat who loves lounging in a sunny window. She is highly food motivated and is on a prescription diet for her thyroid. She has lived with another cat and with dogs.
If you are interested in providing a foster home, sanctuary home, or adopting Cocoa, please send an email to info@lapsandnaps.org or call 828-447-1230.
Eddie is a healthy, 16-year-old female in need of a new home because of her owner's health issues and relocation.
Eddie is an active, affectionate cat who wants to chat with you every day and hang out next to you on the couch! She loves people, but does not like other animals, so she needs to be an only cat. Between bad hips and some bullying earlier in her life, she needs a low sided litter box, and while she will pee in it just fine so long as it's clean, she prefers to poo on the floor nearby.
If you are interested in providing a foster home, sanctuary home, or adopting Eddie, please send an email to info@lapsandnaps.org or call 828-447-1230.
Jasmine was "rescued" from a "Free Cat" listing on Craigslist because we couldn't have her going to people who may not have her best interest in mind.
She is 13-years-old and has lived with cats and dogs and gets along with children who are kind to cats.
Her foster provider reports that she is a lap cat, loves to sit on the cat tree and watch birds, and has learned to get along with the dogs and the other cat in her foster home. She is very sweet!
If you are interested in adopting Jasmine, please send an email to info@lapsandnaps.org or call 828-447-1230.
Maya is a young, 8-year-old, female who needed to find a new home because her owner was moving to care for a sick family member and could not take her.
Maya has experience with dogs and we understand she is fearless! She has had several tooth extractions but does well on a wet food diet. Maya's foster provider says she is a real love and adjusted quickly to his home. She is very sweet.
If you are interested in adopting Maya, please send an email to info@lapsandnaps.org or call 828-447-1230.
Misha is a gorgeous, 12-year-old female who was transferred to Laps and Naps by the Henderson County Animal Shelter where she landed as a stray.
Her prior history is unknown, but her foster mom reports that she is very friendly to humans. We're not sure how she feels about other animals.
Misha is spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations, and her recent bloodwork looks good!
If you are interested in meeting Misha, please send an email to info@lapsandnaps.org or call 828-447-1230.
Morella is a sweet, 12-year-old female who needs a home where she can be the only animal.
While she is well-loved, she has been living in a room by herself for the past year because she is so stressed out by the other cats in the house. Her people have worked very hard to help her adjust but, at the recommendation of her veterinarian, they have decided that the most loving solution is for her to go to a home where she can be a solo act.
If you are interested in fostering or adopting Morella, please send an email to info@lapsandnaps.org or call 828-447-1230.
Mumble is a 14-year-old, pampered, declawed male who would do best in a low activity home, preferably as a solo cat. He has outlived his caretakers, who loved him dearly.
While he is not a lap cat, he will snuggle up next to you on the sofa or on the bed.. He shows affection in other ways, by meeting you at the door, rubbing against your legs, and rubbing his cheek on your hand.
Mumble needs thyroid medicine applied to the inside of his ear tip twice daily. He enjoys cold water right out of the refrigerator.
If you are interested in meeting Mumble, please download and complete the Adoption Application at the bottom of this page and email it back to info@lapsandnaps.org. If you have any questions about this handsome guy, send an email or call 828-447-1230.
Uno is a 9-year-old male who landed in a shelter in GA with two other household cats when his elderly owner died. His daughter can't bear the thought of her father's beloved cats languishing in the shelter so she reached out to Laps and Naps for help in placing the three in homes.
Uno is a very shy gray tabby who is loving once he feels safe with his new human. He is hiding in his cage in the shelter which doesn't make him look very "adoptable". Are you willing to give this shy boy a chance to show his loving side?
If you are interested in fostering, providing a sanctuary home, or adopting Uno, please send an email to info@lapsandnaps.org or call 828-447-1230.
Willow has a sad story to share. His beloved human companion had a fall on Christmas Day and was taken to the hospital. Willow waited and waited for him to come home but, tragically, he recently died. Willow was alone in the house since his person went away, with a family member coming in to care for him in the evening.
Willow is an 8- year-old neutered gray tabby, up-to-date on his vaccinations and had a recent senior blood panel. He is adjusting very well in his foster home, slowly beginning to explore the house in the evening when all is quiet..
Willow has some digestive issues and his foster family is working with the vet to come up with a solution that works for him,
If you are interested in fostering or adopting Willow, please send an email to info@lapsandnaps.org or call 828-447-1230.
