Sapphire is an 11-year-old neutered male who came to us from TN when his devoted human companion had to move into a group home and could not take him with her. Sapphire has lived in one home, with one person, his whole life and he is making great progress adjusting to his foster home.
The volunteers who transported Sapphire from TN to his short-term foster home in Swannanoa, NC fell in love with this handsome guy, who is a lovebug once he feels safe.
Sapphire is up-to-date on his vaccinations and, after Laps and Naps received his vet records, we learned that he is diabetic. His TN vet recommended switching him from dry to wet food in an attempt to ward off the need for insulin. Sapphire LOVES wet food, so no problem there! We are looking for a foster-to-adopt home or adoptive home with someone who is willing to work with him in managing his diabetes. He is in good health otherwise.
If you are interested in fostering or adopting Sapphire, email email@example.com or call 828-447-1230. Please contact us if you have questions about this handsome guy!
Cookie is a very friendly 13-year-old calico looking for a home where she won't be bullied by other kitties.
She loves boxes, soft blankets, and human companionship. She will sit beside you on the couch and "make biscuits" while purring loudly. While her purr may be loud, her "meow" is soft and sweet.
Because of her unfortunate experience with other cats in the home, Cookie would probably adjust best in a home where she can be the only kitty.
Cookie is in need of a foster home, a sanctuary home, or an adoptive home.
If you are interested in fostering or adopting Cookie, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 828-447-1230. Please contact us if you have questions about this friendly lady!
Lola was surrendered to Laps and Naps when her human companion died. Although we don't have her complete history, she is estimated to be 12-13 years old but looks and acts more like a middle-aged gal.
When Lola first went to her foster home, she was renamed "Luna" because she only came out at night. However, Lola is now out all the time! Lola enjoys watching videos for cats and chasing Da Bird wand toy. She prefers dry kibble and has a habit of dropping her kibble in water, even resorting to scooting the bowls close to one another when they were moved farther apart.
Lola will do best with a person who has a fondness for torties and who understands their sometimes complex personalities. She is affectionate and enjoys snuggles on her own terms, even allowing her foster mom to rub her belly!
If you would like to meet Lola, please download and fill out the Adoption Application and email it back to email@example.com. Please contact us if you have questions about this beautiful girl.
