Sapphire is an 11 year old neutered male who came to us from TN when his devoted human companion had to move into a group home and could not take him with her. Sapphire has lived in one home, with one person, his whole life and he is still adjusting to his move, but is making great progress!
The volunteers who transported Sapphire from TN to his short-term foster home in Swannanoa, NC fell in love with this handsome guy, who will be a lovebug once he lands in a long-term home where he can relax and let his true personality shine!
Sapphire is up-to-date on his vaccinations and, after Laps and Naps received his vet records, we learned that he is diabetic. His TN vet recommended switching him from dry to wet food in an attempt to ward off the need for insulin. Sapphire LOVES wet food, so no problem there! We are looking for a foster-to-adopt home or adoptive home with someone who is willing to work with him in managing his diabetes. He is in good health otherwise.
If you are interested in fostering or adopting Sapphire, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 828-447-1230. Please contact us if you have questions about this handsome guy!
Gilly is a very sweet older girl looking for a new home. She was adopted as a barn cat and decided she really wants to be an indoor cat, but doesn’t like other animals. Gilly is 13-15 years old, but she looks and acts much younger.
Gilly is the perfect mix of friendly and independent. She’s not exactly a lap cat, but she loves attention and pets. She loves a good bed (human or cat) and will sleep next to you. She’s playful and talkative and is a good mouser. She uses the litter box and doesn’t scratch furniture. She loves a good scratching pad and sunny window. She does give little love nips (nothing too hard), so she probably wouldn't be a good fit for a family with small children. Gilly is a wonderful cat and she deserves a home where she can be the only queen!
If you are interested in fostering or adopting Gilly, email email@example.com or call 828-447-1230. Please contact us if you have questions about this beautiful girl.
Lola was surrendered to Laps and Naps when her human companion died. Although we don't have her complete history, she is estimated to be 12-13 years old but looks and acts more like a middle-aged gal.
When Lola first went to her foster home, she was renamed "Luna" because she only came out at night. However, Lola is now out all the time! Lola enjoys watching videos for cats and chasing Da Bird wand toy. She prefers dry kibble and has a habit of dropping her kibble in water, even resorting to scooting the bowls close to one another when they were moved farther apart.
Lola will do best with a person who has a fondness for torties and who understands their sometimes complex personalities. She is affectionate and enjoys snuggles on her own terms, even allowing her foster mom to rub her belly!
If you would like to meet Lola, please download and fill out the Adoption Application and email it back to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please contact us if you have questions about this beautiful girl.
