Seven-year-old Leo’s former family surrendered him to a county shelter weighing 28 pounds. With his health suffering and his time at the shelter almost up, our amazing foster Shari stepped in.

One of our most experienced fostermoms, Shari committed to the potentially year-long process of helping Leo slim down, while also helping him with the anxiety and confusion of losing the only home and family he’d known since he was a kitten. Despite everything, he’s a gentle and sweet boy and loves affection.
