Today we said goodbye to our dear, sweet Buddy. A most noble, gentle-cat, Buddy deeply touched the lives of those of us privileged to spend time with him in the ten weeks he was under our guardianship. Buddy was one of three senior cats who were surrendered to Laps and Naps when their beloved human died. Buddy, at 14-years-old, was the youngest of the three. From Dog Crate To Apartment: Gabby Finds A New Home!

Gabby’s story is like so many others in that she was one of four cats in the home of a person who was in Hospice care. Unlike the other three cats, 18-year old Gabby was being housed in a dog crate by the overwhelmed caregivers because of her “litter box issues”. A family friend offered to take Gabby into her home on a temporary basis until a more permanent placement could be found. In Memory of Cimmy

Cimmy was the first cat to enter Laps and Naps’ long-term foster program, Senior Laps for Senior Cats. He was surrendered to us at the age of eighteen, seemingly in excellent health. His senior foster provider was not an experienced cat caregiver and Cimmy was the perfect “starter cat” because he was so loving and had no discernible bad habits.
